YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
 ITEMDESCRIPTION
1REPAIR STAIRS (1001-b,c,m HC)Wood stairway / deck at rear of building is badly deteriorated. Wood decay exists on many structural components. Have a licensed pest control contractor, general building contractor, architect or engineer inspect stair / deck structure and provide written report with recommended repairs, then make repairs or replace as necessary to ensure stability and safety.
Building permit is required for stairway replacement or repair (301 HC).
2REPAIR FIRE PROOFING WITH APPROVED MATERIALS (HC 1001(m), 809)In exit corridor between rear stairs and sidewalk, fire proofing is missing in several locations. Replace all damaged or missing fire proofing with approved materials.
3REPAIR / SERVICE CENTRAL ALARM SYSTEM (908, 909, 1001-m HC)Central alarm system was not working at time of inspection. Have system serviced, repaired and certified.
4PROVIDE ADEQUATE LIGHTING (504g HC)Provide adequate lighting on rear stairs and exit path to street.
5POST ENCLOSED GAS METER INSTRUCTIONAL DIAGRAM IN A PUBLIC AREA. (712 HC) 
6PROVIDE SHUTOFF TOOL FOR GAS UTILITY SHUTOFF (712 HC)At gas meters
7INSPECTOR COMMENTSIt is the property owner's responsibility to be present or direct his/her representative to attend, the reinspection as scheduled on this Notice of Violation for the purpose of providing the Inspector entry to those areas not accessed during the initial inspection, and/or to provide access to all areas cited within this Notice.
If the property owner cannot attend the scheduled reinspection (as specified on this Notice) it is his/her responsibility to secure a different inspection date and time with the Inspector, and provide all tenants with notification as required by California Civil Code Section 1954 (San Francisco Housing Code Section 303(b)), if any dwellings, apartment units or guest rooms are to be accessed during the reinspection.


ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS. REINSPECTION DATE: 07 March 2006 11:15:00 AM

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.
