YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

	ITEM	DESCRIPTION
1	THIS NOTICE INCLUDES VIOLATIONS FOR THE AREAS NOTED.	These violations are in the common area of the building.
2	PROVIDE GUARDRAILS FOR THE BACK STAIR WAY (509, 1003.3.3.7 BC)	Open guardrails shall have intermediate rails or an ornamental pattern sucht that a sphere 4 inches in diameter cannot pass through.
3	PROVIDE HANDRAILS FOR THE BACK STAIR WAY(802(c), 1001(b)(13)HC, 1003.3.3.6BC)	The top of handrails shall be 34 to 38 inches above landings and nosing of treads. Handrail projecting from a wall shall have a space of not less than 1-1/2 inches between wall and the handrail. Handrails shall be continuous the full length of the stairs and at least one handrail shall extend in the direction of the stair run not less than 12 inches beyond the top riser nor less than 12 inches beyond the botton riser. Ends shall be returned or shall have rounded terminations or bends. The handgrip portion of handrails shall be 1-1/4 to 2 inches in cross sectional dimension or the shape shall provide an equivalent gripping surface.
4	REPLACE BROKEN WINDOW PANE ON THE 1ST FLOOR (1001(h), 708HC)
5	REPAIR THE GARBAGE CHUTE HOPPER DOOR ON THE 2ND FLOOR (1001(b)(13) HC, 711 & 713 BC)
6	REMOVE THE RUBBISH FROM THE GARBAGE CAN AREA (1306 HC).
7	INSPECTOR COMMENTS	It is the property owner's responsibilty to be present or direct his/her representative to attend, the reinspection as scheduled on this Notice of Violation for the purpose of providing entry to the Inspector of those areas not accessed during the initial inspection as specified, and/or to provide access to all areas cited within this Notice. If the property owner can not attend the scheduled reinspection (as specified on this Notice) it is his/her responsibility to secure a different inspection date and time with the Inspector, and provide all tenants with notification as required by California Civil Code Section 1954 (San Francisco Housing Code Section 303(b), if any dwellings , apartment units or guest rooms are to be accessed during the reinspection.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS. REINSPECTION DATE: 14 July 2006 10:00:00 AM

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.
