CODE VIOLATION DESC : A complaint investigation revealed 1st floor and ground floor of light industrial building have been converted to live/work space without a change of use permit or certificate of occupancy. Ground/ basement floor compose of 5 storage rooms approx. 50sqft (square feet). 1st floor area compose of 5 bedrooms, 3 workshop area and a community kitchen. At time of inspection bedrooms are not provided with heating systems and life safety systems. (No smoke detector or egress requirement at some bedrooms). Community corridor observed to have multiple egress points. 2nd floor area has been investigated under NOV#201637535. MONTHLY MONITORING FEE. CODE/SECTION: 103A; 110A, TABLE1A-K

FAILURE COMMENT DESCRIPTION :   Obtain a building permit to legalize change of use of building to live/work space with city planning approval. Separate electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits are required. Alternative obtain a building permit with plans to revert to last legal use and conditions with planning approval. Permit must state to comply with NOV#201637535 & 201854222
