YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
 ITEMDESCRIPTION
1THIS NOTICE INCLUDES VIOLATIONS FOR THE AREAS NOTED.Routine safety inspection of Public and Common areas at 477 Greenwich Street.
Chapters 1, 2, & 3 of the San Francisco Housing Code require that the Department of Building Inspection perform periodic health & safety inspections of residential property.
This Routine Inspection was conducted to assure that all requirements have been met per attached Routine Inspection Checklist.
2REPAIR WOOD STAIRS (1001(b)(13)HC) Wood deterioration / decay was noted (and pointed out to property owner) at one structural beam and rim-joist.
Repair or replace as required to maintain a safe and sound structure.

Note: Building Permit is required to do this repairs.

Note: the items of correction listed above are those were accessible and observed on inspection day, and do not include deterioration/damage which was not easily accessible and/or may be concealed and become evident during repairs. It is the property owner¿s responsibility to have the structure thoroughly inspected, by a qualified expert, and maintained on a regular basis.
3PROVIDE BATTERY OPERATED SMOKE DETECTOR AT TOP OF EACH ENCLOSED STAIRS (909, 911 HC) A battery operated smoke detector is required at the top of each enclosed stairs / penthouse area AND every third floor from the top.
Test smoke detectors on a regular basis and replace all batteries annually to maintain a working and functional device.


ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 60 DAYS. REINSPECTION DATE: 27 July 2007 10:00:00 AM

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.
