YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
 ITEMDESCRIPTION
1THIS NOTICE INCLUDES VIOLATIONS FOR THE AREAS NOTED.346 ALEMANY BLVD.:
2REPAIR, MAINTAIN FIRE ESCAPE DROP LADDER IN WORKING CONDITION (908 HC)ALL FIRE ESCAPES: Owner or Owner's representative must demonstrate working condition of all fire escape drop ladders at time of reinspection. PLEASE PROVIDE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING DEMONSTRATION. Upon completion of the inspection, all existing fire escapes shall be secured pursuant to Section 1110.3.1 of the San Francisco Fire Code.

IF ACCESS TO FIRE ESCAPE IS THROUGH AN APARTMENT, PLEASE NOTIFY tenants as required in order to perform this inspection in a timely manner.
OR
Instead of demonstrating working condition of drop ladders at reinspection OWNER may choose to provide a certification letter from a company that is licensed & bonded to inspect fire escapes proving that they are in good working condition.

NOTE: Although Owner provided certification during site inspection, the address noted on the certification was not correct. Please have address of Subject Property corrected on certification as required.
3PERMANENTLY REMOVE COMBUSTIBLE STORAGE OR PROVIDE AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLERS. (603(b), 810, 904(c.2), 1001(d)(i)(k) HC)BOTH GARAGES: Remove all combustible items from garages as required.
NO STORAGE allowed in garage w/out benefit of sprinklers.

NOTE: If sprinklers are installed, then storage is limited to areas which is NOT designated for parked cars.

A BUILDING/PLUMBING PERMIT IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO INSURE PROPER INSTALLATION OF SPRINKLERS (103.1.1 PC). When all work is complete the Building &/or Plumbing Inspector must inspect & sign the final inspection/job card, before the Housing Inspector can abate this violation. Please present the signed job card to the Housing Inspector at the final reinspection.
4INSTALL DIRECTIONAL SIGNS AT (801, 1001(d)(m) HC):DOORS from GARAGE to LOBBY/STREET: Mount LARGE EXIT signs on INSIDE face of these doors that open into LOBBY/STREET.

EXTERIOR GATE: Mount LARGE EXIT sign on inside face of Gate that opens directly onto STREET.

ALL DIRECTIONAL SIGNS MUST indicate direction to lobby/street.

REMOVE any & ALL directional signs that indicate direction into backyard or garage.
5INSPECTOR COMMENTSTO OCCUPANT: It is the responsibility of the owner of this property to comply with the attached Notice of Violation. A copy has been sent to the Owner. This copy is for your information. If you have any questions, please contact the Property Owner, Manager, or Management Company.

It is also the Owner's responsibility to provide prior notification of intended entry to all affected tenants per California Civil Code 1954 (303b HC)
6INSPECTOR COMMENTSOWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MEET INSPECTOR AS SCHEDULED ON THIS NOTICE OF VIOLATION (see date below): It is the property owner¿s responsibility to be present or direct his/her representative to attend, the reinspection as scheduled on this Notice of Violation for the purpose of providing entry to the Inspector of those areas not accessed during the initial inspection as specified, and/or to provide access to all areas cited within this Notice.
7INSPECTOR COMMENTSIf the property owner cannot attend the scheduled reinspection (as specified on this Notice) it is his/her responsibility to secure a different inspection date and time with the Inspector, and provide all tenants with notification as required by California Civil Code Section 1954 (San Francisco Housing Code Section 303(b)), if any dwellings, apartment units or guest rooms are to be accessed during the reinspection.
8INSPECTOR COMMENTSNOTE: Please call & speak with me directly in order to request alternate reinspection dates. If I do not answer the telephone during these hours, then phone the front desk @ 558.6220 and ask the attendant on duty for my whereabouts.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.

FOR EVERY INSPECTION AFTER THE INITIAL RE-INSPECTION, A $181.82 FEE WILL BE CHARGED UNTIL THE VIOLATIONS ARE ABATED. SFBC 108.8
