YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

1THIS NOTICE INCLUDES VIOLATIONS FOR THE AREAS NOTED.COMMON AREAS OF 430 CASTRO ST.:
2REPAIR STAIRS (1001(b)(13)HC)REAR EXTERIOR STAIRS USED AS EMERGENCY EGRESS: PERMIT RESEARCH FAILED TO REVEAL A VALID PERMIT FOR PREVIOUS REPAIR WORK TO STAIRS. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT FOR PREVIOUS REPAIR WORK TO STAIRS. When all work is complete the District Building Inspector must inspect & sign the final inspection/job card before the Housing Inspector can abate this violation. Please present the application & signed/finalized job card to the Housing Inspector at reinspection.
3PROVIDE HANDRAILS (802(c),1001(b)(13)HC)REAR EXTERIOR CONCRETE STAIRS USED AS EMERGENCY EGRESS; ((2) SETS OF STAIRS): Provide handrails at concrete stairs as required by SFBD 1133B.4.2 thru 1133B.4.2.6.1 (minimum height 34" to 38" from top of each stair tread)
4BUILDING PERMIT REQUIRED (301 HC)YOU ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A BUILDING PERMIT FOR NEW HANDRAILS: When all work is complete the District Building Inspector must inspect & sign the final inspection/job card before the Housing Inspector can abate this violation. Please present the signed & finalized job card to the Housing Inspector at reinspection.
5INSTALL DIRECTIONAL SIGNS AT (801, 1001(m) HC)EMERGENCY EGRESS CORRIDOR: Provide & install LARGE exit sign which easily identifies emergency egress corridor in rear yard.
6PROVIDE SELF-CLOSING DEVICES AT EXTERIOR DOORS (706 HC)FRONT DOOR GATE: Provide/repair door closer. Door should close and lock without any outside assistance and should unlock from the inside either automatically or with a thumblatch.
7POST ENCLOSED GAS METER INSTRUCTIONAL DIAGRAM IN A PUBLIC AREA. (712 HC) 
8INSPECTOR COMMENTSYOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ALL WORK BY THE REINSPECTION DATE NOTED BELOW.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS. REINSPECTION DATE: 05 March 2003 11:00:00 AM

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.
