YOU ARE HEREBY ORDERED TO COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
 ITEMDESCRIPTION
1THIS NOTICE INCLUDES VIOLATIONS FOR THE AREAS NOTED.EXTERIOR OF 500 STANYAN ST.:
2REPAIR, MAINTAIN FIRE ESCAPE DROP LADDER IN WORKING CONDITION (SEC 908 HC)ALL FIRE ESCAPES: Owner or Owner's representative must demonstrate working condition of all fire escape drop ladders at time of reinspection. OWNER MUST ALSO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS DURING DEMONSTRATION.
IF ACCESS TO FIRE ESCAPE IS THROUGH AN APARTMENT, PLEASE NOTIFY tenants as required in order to perform this inspection in a timely manner.
OR Instead of demonstrating working condition of drop ladders at reinspection you may choose to provide a certification letter from a company which is licensed & bonded to inspect fire escapes proving that they are in good working condition. Non-working fire escape constitutes a life hazard as defined in the San Francisco Housing Code Sec.401 and must be corrected immediately.
3REMOVE EGRESS OBSTRUCTION AT (801,1001(l) HC)ALL FIRE ESCAPES: Remove ALL items from fire escapes. Fire escapes shall be kept clear and unobstructed and be readily accessible at all times
4INSPECTOR COMMENTSIn order to abate this notice of violation a complete inspection of all common areas must be conducted. Inspection to include all other public areas including, corridors, rear stairs/decks, garages, & storage areas. PLEASE HAVE ALL AREAS UNLOCKED FOR REINSPECTION. NOTE: No storage is allowed in garages without benefit of sprinklers.
OWNER (or Owner's representative) IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ALL WORK & TO MEET THE HOUSING INSPECTOR BY THE REINSPECTION DATE NOTED BELOW.
Note: In order to avoid telephone tag, please do NOT leave phone messages to request alternate reinspection dates. Please call & speak with me directly to reschedule a reinspection. Otherwise feel free to leave messages regarding all other matters.
I am available by phone between the hours of 8 & 9 AM or 4 & 5 PM. If I do not answer the telephone during these hours, then follow my voice mail instructions and ask the attendant on duty for my whereabouts. Thank you.


ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN DAYS. REINSPECTION DATE: 02 September 2003 12:30:00 PM

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.
