Routine Inspection of the (common area) building SEC.(303 a S.F.H.C.)
2REPAIR STAIRS (1001(b)(13)HC)REAR STAIRS: Wood deterioration / decay was noted at the bottom of the post provide (proper support/foundation) and landing boards. Repair or replace these areas as required to maintain a safe and sound structure.
3RECHARGE/DATE TAG FIRE EXTINGUISHER TYPE 2A 10BC OR EQUIVALENT (905,1001(m)HC)all expired fire extinguisher in the building

**Reminder** All fire extinguishers are required to be recharged and serviced annually and date tag must be posted and current.
4REPAIR, MAINTAIN FIRE ESCAPE DROP LADDER IN WORKING CONDITION (SEC 908 HC)Note: property manager, owner or the owner's agent needs to provide a proof of the workability of the fire escape ladders. Non-working fire escape ladder is a life safety hazard and must be corrected immediately. Provide a written report from a qualified service company or Licenced contractor stating that all parts and cables have tested and are functional or contact the housing inspector (within 30 days) to witness lowering the ladder in person.

**REMINDER**All manufacturers recommend that the fire escape drop ladder be maintained and serviced annually, particularly the cable and all moving parts. Lubricate and drop the ladder at least once a year.
5REMOVE EGRESS OBSTRUCTION AT (801,1001(l) HC)**Tripping Hazard** Remove all stored items,wire and planters from fire escape. This area must remain clear and clean at all times.
6REPAIR CENTRAL ALARM SYSTEM (908, 909 HC)PROVIDE CERTIFICATION: REMINDER central alarm panel are required to be cerifed annually by a LICENCED CONTRATOR and post ceritification on the panel door (SEC 908,909,(b) S.F.H.C.
7MISCELLANEOUS VIOLATIONSIt is the property owner's responsibility to be present or direct his/her representative to attend, the reinspection as schedule on this notice of violation for the purpose of providing entry to the Inspector of those areas not accessed during the initial inspection as specified, and/or to provide access to all areas cited within this notice.

If the property owner cannot attend the scheduled reinspection (as specified on this notice) it is his/her responsibility to secure a different inspection date and time with the Inspector, and provide all tenants with the Inspector, and provide all tenants with notification as required by California Civil Code Section 1954(San Francisco Housing Code SECTION 303(b),if any dwellings, apartment units or guest rooms are to be accessed during the reinspection.


ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS. REINSPECTION DATE: 04 October 2004 10:30:00 AM

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE OWNER/OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE CONFIRM REINSPECTION DATE/TIME.
