Description:

Since opening in 11/2011 Ken Ken Ramen at 3378 18th street has taken out only 2 permits to change from a noodle factory to a noodle restaurant. However there were major changes made to the location and there were never any inspections made of these changes. There was new electrical wiring made, phone wiring installation, restaurant equipment and plumbing changes made. There was NO soundproofing done to assure that restaurant noise (from patrons as well as music) could not be heard in the units above the restaurant. Then in September 2012 Ken Ken Ramen opened a new business at 3376 18th street (they built a door that connects the 2 business') as Suika Bento Cafe. Again, at 3376 there was major remodeling done, but not permits. They used the permits for 3378 18th street saying it was one and the same. Suika Bento Cafe was selling food items as well as being used as a being used as a bar/speakeasy again, using the ABC license for 3378 18th Street.
