06/07/22OTHER BLDG/HOUSING VIOLATIONClancyCASE UPDATEtodays meeting ( which included Mary Kucel from SFFD, Matt Schlecht, Senior Electrical Inspector for the District , Kevin Birmingham, Senior Building Inspector for the District, Myself & Various representatives from Hines, the owner As of now the building remains Vacant and has been under Fire Watch since the event, The Event Cause is still under investigation. there are 403 rental units in the building. 95 have water damage with the remaining 308 without damage, there are several amenity areas that are also damaged All Elevators are still down, the fire Alarm system has also been damaged. the sprinkler system is back online, several electrical distribution systems are of-line as a precautionary measure Hines are working diligently with abatement crews, restoration contractors to remove and identify damaged areas. they have ordered and are awaiting parts to repair their life safety and elevator systems we discussed a re-occupancy plan ( outline ) phase 1. systems restoration & system level testing phase 2. system sequencing testing- to achieve re-occupancy approvals Hines will deal with me directly with coordinating permits, expedited inspections and re-occupancy approvals BID

Those tests are currently scheduled for 4-6 pm on Thursday, June 23. tested the elevators in the presence of Anthony Ricarte (CA State DIR, DOSH) last Friday. Additional testing was done in the presence of Anthony Ricarte and Valiant Wong (CA State DIR, DOSH) and Mary Kucel (SFFD) on Saturday. They said that the elevators can be used can use the cars. BID

12/12/22OTHER BLDG/HOUSING VIOLATIONClancyCASE UPDATE Updating information. Hines submitted the required 90 day updated Action Plan 12.08.2022 to the Department required by Section 106A .1.14.2, Currently, the building remains under a 24-hour fire watch. Among other work being performed, Stand Pipe #1, running from the lobby to the 35th floor, has been demolished and replacement is underway. Standpipe 1 was demolished, rebuilt, and passed inspection with SFFD on November 11th , 20222, and DBI/Plbg. on November 29th, 2022. Standpipe 1 serves as our Temporary Construction Standpipe. Standpipe 3 is currently demolished, and Standpipe 2 is in the process of demo. Rebuild of new Standpipes 2 and 3 will commence following demolition. The floor branch lines are planned to be filled with water and valved off from the Standpipe connection. A new residential bus-duct has been procured and will be reinstalled and inspected by DBI prior to occupancy. Elevator A and FSAE Elevator C have been inspected with the State Elevator Inspector and are approved for Construction use only. Elevator B is undergoing repair. BID
