09/27/04GENERAL MAINTENANCEMansurCASE CONTINUEDAs requested by property owner, inspector Mansur met with the complainant and property owner to identify code violation areas including the dry-rotted cantilevered wood deck (walkway). Items # 5, 7, 8, 9 10, 12 & 14 are all housing code violations and must be corrected to a satisfactory condition. Regarding items #2 & 4, property owner was advised to consult with a qualified contractor regarding the best and safest way to maintain a structurally sound cantilevered public wood deck and walkway. Regarding the request for a time extension due to unforeseen conditions, inspector Mansur informed property owner that progress has to be made prior to granting the time extension. Complainant and owner agreed to start the work at apartment #4 on Monday 04-October-2004. HIS

10/18/04GENERAL MAINTENANCEMansurREINSPECTION 2Inspector Tim Mansur performed a reinspection on 18-October-2004 at the subject property and found that item #6, 8, 9, 10 & 12 identified on the Notice of Violation issued on 10-September-2004 remains outstanding. Property owners and complainant were present at the time of extension. Tension between owners and complainant was high at the time of extension. It was agreed that the patch job of the loose tile / grout at the tub area is unsatisfactory and incomplete. Referenced item #8. Complainant agreed to let the property owner in to complete the repairs on a short notice. Property owner was provided with a permit informational sheet regarding permit requirement. HIS

Amy was asked if there is any remaining (incomplete) items ?; and she indicated that all NOV items pertain to apartment #4 have been corrected. No walkthrough apartment #4 was conducted on inspection day. HIS

Inspector Mansur indicated that if the complainant wishes to file a complaint then an inspection would be scheduled with her to verify and document the code violations. Amy indicated that she will notify the inspector when the heater fails to fire or come on. HIS
